The form does not display if PHP_mail is being used or not if you do not use SMTP. So what is the email protocol if smtp = false? by default the php sendmail functionality is used as it is the default for years and available on every webspace as far as i know. some users liked to use smtp instead, so we build in a simple smtp script as an alternative. since a few updates this smtp script can also talk to password protected smtp accounts, but encryption and other enhanced features are still not supported. it should be easy to use the pear mail class collection for that case if needed, just needs a few lines of code to be changed in a single file, but i don't have a guided todo for that since nobody requested this for years. ------------------ ClanSphere - professional clan care starts here |
