The MSN Chat is shutting down on 8th of April while it is currently being merged into Skype. This lead us to remove all MSN account data and form inputs, but add Jabber on such places as a new and widely used alternative.

ClanSphere is not affected by the latest CKEditor security issue fixed in 3.6.6.1, but that was the one too many. We don't want to provide overall update releases for such things, so the ckeditor module was moved to our module db to reduce external dependencies. The module db also offers TinyMCE as an alternative.

Some small system relevant changes in this release and the earlier Patch 4 update led us to enhance the version number. Nevertheless this update is optional, install it if you want to benefit from the changes made.

Der MSN Chat wird am 8. April abgeschaltet, da dieser derzeit bereits zu Skype migriert wird. Dies führte uns dazu alle MSN Accountdaten und Eingabefelder gegen eine neue, breit genutzte Alternative auszutauschen: Jabber.

ClanSphere ist von der letzten CKEditor Sicherheitslücke, die mit 3.6.6.1 beseitigt worden ist, nicht betroffen, aber es war die eine Lücke zu viel. Wir möchten keine allgemeinen Update Releases aufgrund solcher Dinge herausgeben müssen. Daher ist das ckeditor Modul nun in die Modul DB verschoben, um die externen Abhängigkeiten zu reduzieren. TinyMCE ist in der Modul DB ebenfalls als Alternative vorhanden.

Ein paar systemnahe Änderungen in diesem, aber auch dem vorherigen Patch 4 Update bewogen uns dazu die Versionsnummer anzuheben. Trotzdem ist dieses Update optional, installiert es, wenn ihr von den Änderungen profitieren möchtet.

We would like to know what and for what reason you change it in ClanSphere files. Also side-effects and problems you have to deal with and ideas on how to create a better solution for such things are welcome. The results might influence our successor CMS, but no promises.

Wir würden gerne in Erfahrung bringen, was und aus welchem Grund ihr es in ClanSphere Dateien ändert. Auch Seiteneffekte und Probleme auf die ihr dabei stoßt, sowie Ideen für das Erstellen von besseren Lösungen sind willkommen. Die Resultate könnten das Nachfolge-CMS beeinflussen, aber wir machen diesbezüglich keine Versprechungen.

We've made some small improvements to the version and update check in ClanSphere. Due to this older releases than 2011.3 Patch 4 won't get automatically notified about future updates (from now on). There are also some long awaited bugfixes and new external software updates included while those for the FCKEditor filebrowser also enhances its security. Further releases are not planned for now.

Wir haben den Versions- und Update-Check in ClanSphere etwas verbessern können. Dadurch werden ältere Releases als 2011.3 Patch 4 allerdings (ab jetzt) nicht mehr automatisch über neue Versionen benachrichtigt. Des Weiteren sind einige lang erwartete Bugfixes und Updates externer Software enthalten, wobei dass für den FCKEditor Dateibrowser sogar die Sicherheit dessen erhöht. Weitere Releases sind vorerst nicht geplant.

This patch fixes a security related issue and some minor bugs. In addition there are two new options for admins and an updated CKEditor included. We recommend everyone to install this update as soon as possible since we've found an exploit for the security issue recently.

Dieser Patch behebt ein sicherheitsrelevantes Problem, sowie einige kleinere Fehler. Zudem sind zwei neue Optionen für Administratoren enthalten und ein aktualisierter CKEditor. Wir empfehlen jedem dieses Update so schnell wie möglich zu installieren, da wir kürzlich auf einen Exploit für die Lücke gestoßen sind.

Github for many devices

ClanSphere source control has moved to Github this march. The source code of the IntraSphere Addon for LAN-Parties and some Modules developed by members of our team are hosted there, too. Feel free to create forks, issues for bugs and other features.

Github has already released clients for Mac and Windows that are easy to understand and use while working with Git, but there are also mobile apps. One for IOS and another one for Android - released just a few days ago - that allow you to stay in touch with further changes and bugfixes to our repositories.

If you want to know more or have problems with Git or Github services regarding this project or extensions you want to share with others then just ask in our forum and we try to help.

Die ClanSphere Versionskontrolle ist diesen März auf Github gewechselt. Der Quelltext vom IntraSphere Addon für LAN-Parties, sowie diverse von Mitgliedern unseres Teams erstellte Module sind dort ebenfalls abrufbar. Erstellt bei Interesse gern einen Fork, teilt uns Probleme mit oder nutzt die weiteren Features.

Github hat bereits Software für Mac und Windows veröffentlicht, die einfach zu verstehen und nutzen ist im Bezug auf das Arbeiten mit Git. Es gibt zudem Mobile Apps, eine für IOS und eine andere für Android - erst vor kurzem freigegeben - die es euch erlauben, mit zukünftigen Änderungen und Bugfixes an unseren Repositories auf dem Laufenden zu bleiben.

Wenn ihr mehr darüber wissen möchtet oder Probleme mit Git bzw. dem Github Service bezüglich unseres Projektes habt oder gar eigene Erweiterungen anbieten wollt, dann fragt gern in unserem Forum und wir werden versuchen euch zu helfen.
